One thing on my cosplay checklist was to cosplay from Marvel. So it was finally time to become the Mighty Thor! Especially with the release of Thor: Love and Thunder coming up at the time.
I started constructing my cosplay to debut at Planet Comic Con 2022. I started with the bodysuit, using Yaya Han’s bodysuit pattern from McCall’s. I only modified the legs to have angled textured spandex panels. Faux leather and suede was used for the belt, skirt, and cape. And all the armor was made from HD Foam from SKS Props, with the embellishments 3D printed. I got the STL files from Sionnach Studios on Etsy. The only piece not made by me was the Hammer. I found it on Amazon. I wanted to save some time on my build as con was approaching. I also figured if I was interacting with people who wanted to hold it, I wanted a prop that was better for more people to easily handle it. And if it got dropped it wouldn’t break as easily, since its a foam prop, and if it did somehow break I wouldn’t be as upset and could still replace it.
